A_A (Satoshi Tomiie & Nao Gunji)

Live – “Radiant”

Performing their latest work “Radiant”. With the sound and the tone texture created in the studio sessions, transforming and improvising through reconstruction, sample synthesis and sound-object activation.

A_A is a live performance project of house music DJ / musician Satoshi Tomiie and NYC-based artist Nao Gunji, exploring the tension between floor-centric electronic music and improvised sound/audio performance, where found sounds and object-activated sounds often share the sonic space with fragments from the duo’s roots in  House, Jazz, R&B, and Dub. They have released an Album and EPs since 2018 and the next EP “Radiant” is slated to be released later this year.

Kamron Saniee

Live – “Euphoric Studies”

Live set based on shared material from Saniee’s recent album Euphoric Studies which was released on SVS records early this year.

Kamron Saniee lives and works in New York City. He draws inspiration from diverse musical cultures, and in his music you can hear the dominant influence of electronica, IDM, neoclassical music, middle eastern synthesizer music, and video game soundtracks. An alum of the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy, he has engaged audiences in New York at venues including Elsewhere Brooklyn, Future Space, and Fridman Gallery, and abroad at Budapest’s 4DSOUND spatial sound institute and the Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama. His performance incorporates material from his recent release Euphoric Studies (SVS Records, 2021) and characteristically falls where smooth, futuristic club frequencies meet calculated rhythmic deviations.
